Network Rail confirms RISQS will support Sentinel
Graham Hopkins,NR Group Director, Safety,Technical and Engineering, has said: “At Network Rail we fully support the use of RISQS as Network Rail's single supplier qualification system for auditable categories.
“RISQS continues toprovide the underpinning assurance for the Sentinel Scheme and Network Railwelcomes the improvements provided through the enhancements made to the RISQS scheme which will streamline the assurance process.”
The enhanced RISQS scheme goes live on May 1st, providing buyers with many benefits including a new configurable platform more responsive to industry and legal changes; the ability to integrate the new software with their own systems; auto alerts, buyer specific questioning, and supplier survey templates, all available at no extra cost; and “live” up-to-date supplier information.
Suppliers will also get a host of improvements including the new configurable platform, providing prompt updates for industry requirements; notice of EU tenders provided for free; pre-populated PAS91 survey templates to avoid duplication; and a dedicated helpline.
The transition is on schedule and the system is now open for suppliers to log in and check their data. Members have also started renewing their membership and booking audits.
Graeme Cox, RSSB Head of Supplier Assurance, said: “We have been working closely with NR and other major infrastructure managers to ensure enhanced RISQS is optimised to work with their systems and we are delighted to see this recognized in their commitment to RISQS.
