Acknowledgement of New Network Rail Standard Required - Test Before Touch for Overhead Line Equipment

On 3 September 2022, Network Rail published a new standard, Test Before Touch for Overhead Line Equipment (NR/L3/ELP/27720) which has a compliance date of 4 January 2023.

Detailed and overview briefing materials have been made available alongside the standard which can be accessed via the IHS portal for Network Rail standards.

The detailed briefing is targeted at a specific group of colleagues, as described overleaf, and their attendance at a detailed briefing must be recorded as a learning event on Sentinel.

There are also twice weekly Q&A drop in sessions for supply chain organisations.  The details of these sessions are as follows:

If you are a supplier to Network Rail, please confirm that your organisation and those that you subcontract to, will have briefed all of your relevant staff, so that they will be able to apply the requirements of the Test Before Touch for Overhead Line Equipment standard, on or before 4th January 2023.
