Network Rail procurement director to give RISQS Conference keynote

The procurement director of Britain’s largest infrastructure manager is the first senior rail industry figure to be announced as a speaker at the forum for 500 buyers and suppliers to discuss how both can use the contracting process more effectively.

Further high-profile speakers are set to be announced in coming months and RISQS members are advised to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment as demand for registrations has been brisk.

The event on March 28, 2019, features presentations from major buyers outlining their view of the contracting landscape in CP6 and forthcoming major work packages, and highlighting common mistakes in tenders, as well as opportunities for suppliers to network with buyers.

Held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, the conference also incorporates the annual RISQS scheme report and an update on the enhancements we will continue to introduce to add value for members.

Damon Snell, interim RSSB Head of Supplier Assurance, said: “The Annual RISQS Conference is a direct response to address what the market is calling for.

“The conference is an opportunity for suppliers to hear about upcoming work packages and what buyers look for in a bid. It also gives suppliers the chance to meet and network with buyers.”
