ORR Chief Inspector to give RISQS conference keynote

Ian Prosser, Chief Inspector of Railways and Director of Railway Safety at the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), is the second keynote announced to address the inaugural Annual RISQS Conference.

Ian will provide his perspective on how the industry should drive safety through the contracting and procurement process.

He joins Clive Berrington, Network Rail’s Contracts and Procurement Director, as the second keynote address to the event on March 28 at the RICOH Arena in Coventry.

Further high-profile speakers are set to be announced in coming months and RISQS members are advised to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment as demand for registrations has been high.

The event features presentations from major buyers outlining their view of the contracting landscape in CP6 and forthcoming major work packages, and highlighting common mistakes in tenders, as well as opportunities for suppliers to network with buyers. It also incorporates the annual RISQS scheme report and an update on the enhancements we will continue to introduce to add value for members.

Damon Snell, interim RSSB Head of Supplier Assurance, said: “The annual RISQS conference enables the supplier community to interact and network with buyers, helps them understand buyers requirements and needs, and gives suppliers some assurance around the CP6 workbank and pipeline”.
