This site uses cookies to enhance your user experience. We use cookies to analyse our traffic so we can improve and make this site more effective for users.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

We use necessary cookies to make our site work. We'd also like to set up optional cookies as explained in section 2. These will only be set up if you accept.

If you click on a cookie, you'll see a short string of text and numbers, this is your identification card, and it can only be seen by the website server that gave you the cookie. You can learn more about cookies on the ICO website.

Use of cookies on this site

We use cookies to monitor page visits to identify the areas that are in higher demands and to fill in forms. Cookies are used to improve services for you, including:

  • Enabling a service to recognise your computer so you don't have to give the same information several times during one task.
  • Recognising that you have already logged in and entered a username and password, so you don't need to do it for every web page requested.
  • Measuring how many people are using services, so that popular services can be made easier and faster to use. This includes statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, it does not identify any individual.
  • Analysing anonymous data to help us understand how people interact with our services so we can make them better.

First-party cookies are those that we set directly from RSSB’s websites; third party cookies are cookies that are loaded because of the way we integrate tools and content from other websites. Other than Google Analytics, the only third-party website we use in this way is Sitecore and Hotjar.

For detailed information about the cookies we use please refer to the table below:

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on the ‘C’ icon. You can then adjust the available sliders to ‘On’ or ‘Off’, then clicking ‘Save and close’. You may need to refresh your page for your settings to take effect.

Alternatively, most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

Do we record IP addresses?

This site records your IP (Internet Protocol) address.  Your IP address identifies the computer that you used to register your subscription (where required).  This information is used only to verify the computer that was used to register your subscription.

Each page visited within this site is recorded in a log file.  The contents of the log file are analysed to determine how many visitors we serve, which pages are most frequently viewed and where visitors connect from. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
