RISQS will attend the Department for Transport (DfT) Small Business Supplier and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) event in Sheffield on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

This in-person event is hosted by the DfT Group, alongside key stakeholders. It aims to support small businesses and VCSEs by providing opportunities to engage directly with senior representatives from across the transport sector and major suppliers.

How does RISQS support rail procurement? Paul Haynes, Assistant Scheme Manager at RISQS, will be on hand throughout the day to explain how RISQS: helps rail buyers find the right suppliers, with the right capabilities, at the right time

This is the 31st DfT VCSE event. Further regional events are planned across the UK during this and the next financial year.

  • Sessions from major suppliers sharing best practice on becoming a sub contractor within the supply chain
  • Engagement with the Crown Commercial Service, including guidance on small and medium enterprises and VCSE friendly frameworks, and how to enrol
