Important notice for buyers ahead of the new Procurement Act
The RISQS team has spent the past few years getting ready for the new legislation and its impact on buyers within the scheme.
We held a webinar on the new procurement regulations—and what they mean for you—on 6 March 2024, which you can view here.
This was then followed by a roadshow series for both buyers and suppliers, visiting major cities across England and Scotland.
Our new portal went live in August 2024, having been designed with the new Procurement Act in clear focus. The portal is fully compliant with the new Procurement Act.
In short, RISQS is ready to help buyers when the new Act comes into effect.
So, what do buyers need to do?
Please be aware that if you wish to use RISQS as either a qualifying utility dynamic market or a dynamic market, you need to inform your supply chain that you are doing so.
Buyers need to put a notice on Find A Tender Service (FaTS), and anywhere else there is a compliance requirement to do so, about the fact that they are going to use RISQS.
They may also wish to inform prospective suppliers on their website and elsewhere about how they are procuring.
